Container trains organised by Russian Railways public corporation help reduce container delivery time at least by one third. This was announced at the ‘Improving competition and marketing at railway transport’ International conference in Jurmala, Latvia. The managers of TransContainer, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, took part in the conference.
